I found the Prince Alfred Copper mine in 2005 during my trip to the Flinders Ranges.  I made a fleeting visit one afternoon and found the place so fascinating that I went back and spent a day there watching the buildings and landscape as the light changed during the day.  I thought this place typical of the derelict buildings that I saw in the area, people had moved there with high hopes which were ultimately dashed by a combination of factors, mostly weather. I was impressed with the quality of building at this site, although miles from anywhere the main buildings were built as if they were in a city.  Just look at the arches over windows and doorways.  This gallery is just a few of the pictures that I took on that day.
